The 31-year-old man, who allegedly strangled his 39-year-old businesswoman lover to death in her at Green Estate in the Amuwo Odofin area of Lagos, last month, has been caught and he has finally confessed.

His name is Kelechi Williams, he was paraded at the Lagos State Police Command on Wednesday. The bad guy was arrested at the border between Ghana and Cote D’Ivore by operatives from the Area 'E' Command and those of International Police, INTERPOL, while fleeing with the woman’s Range Rover with number plate LAGOS EKY 509 AZ.

The incident, according to Williams, occurred on July 19, 2014, at about 2am during an altercation over the late arrival of his lover, a mother of four identified as Njideka Lizzy Nzewe and suspected infidelity. More...

Arrested Boko Haram Man: I Butcher Humans Within 2 Minutes

Chief Butcher of the Boko Haram sect, Zakari Mohammed Ardo, on Wednesday gave a chilling description of how the terrorist group used to slaughter people they capture, saying it only takes him two minutes to butcher victims and enemies condemned to death.

LASU School Fees: Fashola Orders Reversal To Old Charges

Governor Babatunde Fashola has directed that the controversial fee hike at Lagos State University, LASU, be reversed to the old charge. Fashola stated this on Thursday at the convocation programme of the university. He said the fees would now be returned to the old charges, in order to carry everybody along.

The Lagos State Government had, in 2011, increased the fees from N25,000 to N198,000 for humanities and education, while medical students were to pay N350, 000. Students and lecturers protested. 

A body set up by government approved a reduction by 34 to 60 percent which the students say was still high. At last, Governor Fashola himself has stepped in and has ordered the reversal of LASU school fees to its old rates.

Now Ebola victims are left to rot in the streets: Terrified relatives dump them outside for fear of catching deadly virus

A young man lies dead in the streets of Liberia, left to rot in view of passers-by and local children.

He is just one of many Ebola victims to have been dragged out of their homes and dumped on the country's roads by terrified relatives in a desperate bid to avoid being quarantined.

The deadly virus, which can cause victims to suffer from severe bruising and bleeding from the eyes and mouth, has claimed the lives of nearly 900 people across West Africa so far.

Finally, Experts Have Discovered The Drug For Ebola

Health workers have hailed reported success of the experimental drug, ZMapp, on Ebola infected American doctor, Dr Kent Brantly and American Missionary Health worker, Ms. Nancy Writebol.

Within an hour of receiving ZMapp, the Ebola-infected Dr. Brantly’s condition dramatically improved. He was said to have began breathing easier; the rash over his trunk faded away. One of his doctors described the events that followed after he was given the drug as “miraculous.”

The female health worker, Ms. Writebol, also received a vial of the medication. Although her response was not as remarkable at first, doctors administered a second dose of the drug on her again on Sunday, and this time it resulted in significant improvement...

The Female Doctor Who Contracted Ebola Has Died In Lagos

Report reaching us is that the Nigerian female doctor who was infected with the Ebola virus as a result of body contact with the late Liberian man, Patrick Sawyer, has died in Lagos. Minister of health, Prof Onyebuchi Chukwu, was said to have confirmed that she passed on, on Tuesday. 

Also, 7 new cases have been confirmed and the Lagos government are trying to contain the spread. This is really sad!

Redeemers University student who killed father remanded in prison

The murder case against 21 year old Redeemers University student, Tolani Ajayi, who killed his 60 year old lawyer father, Charles Ajayi, on July 21st at the Redemption camp, came up for hearing today August 5th at an Ogun State Magistrate Court in Owode-Egba, Ogun state.

 

The Magistrate, Bolaji Ojikutu after hearing the charge against Tolani ordered that he be remanded in prison until October 10 when the case will be heard again. The case file, according to court sources, will be sent to the Department of Public Prosecution, DPP, for advice.

Lagos has 8 suspected Ebola cases, 1 confirmed - Lagos Health Commissioner

Dr Jide Idris, the Lagos state Commissioner for Health, today August 5th said there are now eight suspected cases of Ebola in Lagos. These eight are those who came in contact with Liberian Patrick Sawyer, who died of Ebola shortly after arriving Lagos last month. But out of the 8, only one case has been confirmed while six others have been quarantined even though they have not shown any symptoms of the disease so far, Dr Idris said.

'I cut her neck with cutlass for sacking me' - The houseboy who killed magistrate says

David Idah, the houseboy of  retired Chief Magistrate Funmilola Timeyin who killed her at her residence in Laderin Estate in Abeokuta on March 28th says he killed her because she sacked him.

Idah, in an interview with Punch, said he and his boss had a good relationship when he started working with her but they fell out when she started to complain about his attitude. Idah says he wasn't paid his salary and so stole two mobile phones, a DVD player, speakers, perfume, wrist watches, three trousers and four shirts belonging to her son in order to sell them, get money and leave. Another den was discovered yesterday, April 3rd in Akinremi Estate in the Adigbe area of Obafemi-Owode LGA of Ogun State, Vanguard reports

 

A pregnant young lady in a bid to set herself free from the ritualist ran out of a duplex in the estate on Wednesday night and informed the estate residents of what was happening in the building. The young lady said she was from Abia state and was sold to the ritualist by her elders sister for N100,000. 

 

 By Thursday morning, youths in the area, mostly students of the Moshood Abiola Polythecnic, invaded the building and engaged in a thorough search of the building and amongst the things they found in the building were charms, ivory plate containing fresh blood, coffin, and effigies...

Today Dec. 10th makes it 8 years since we lost Pastor Bimbo Odukoya, 60 students of Loyola Jesuit College and 47 others in the 2005 Sosoliso Airline crash.

Sosoliso Airlines Flight 1145 was a scheduled flight from Abuja to Port Harcourt carrying 103 passengers and 7 crew members. The plane crash landed and burst into flames at the Port Harcourt International Airport, killing 108 people. Two passengers survived. May their souls continue to rest in Peace.
